Default Thinking about making a run for an RS

Would love the opinions of the community about thoughts on making a run for an RS variant. I'm partial to the .1's but a .2 would work also.

Currently I have a 997.1 NB and a 2008 Audi RS4 that both sit in the garage. I daily a 958 CTT, and my wife DD's a 2015 Q7 Sport.

I'm thinking of selling both the RS4 and .1 and looking for an RS. Would you do it? Another option would be to sell the .1 and just get an RS but that would take me a few years to do since I've already got a car payment on the CTT and don't really want another one and by that time, who knows how crazy the market si going to be.

Thoughts, opinions and general discussion appreciated.

Thanks.

The question sounds a bit like Should I go out with Bo Derek or stick with ....(fill in the blank).

Bo Derek all the way!

Problem is finding one for your intended use.
Garage queens are just silly priced and if you like garage "artwork" fine
Drivers are very few and far between
And finding a seller that realizes their driver isn't a garage queen is even harder

Agree not worth the brain damage I spent 3 months looking for a driver

I'm thinking of getting a defender 90 instead

Sell both and be prepared to add bunch of cash to buy an RS, and then at least take it to cars and coffees , shows, etc to enjoy it and for others to see it.
Good luck.

Good luck.
Buy it, then get a cup of coffee and take it straight to the track!

I considered getting one at one point. In the end decided against it since I don't track my cars. I ended up keeping my 997.2 GT3 and added a 991 GT3. Very pleased with my decision.

Try an antique. They're pretty awesome and good driver ones arent that much $ :-) I highly suggest a tweaked 964. Defender sounds fun. I'm very schizophrenic right now on a car add. GT4 (haven't found a stripper yet), a long hood targa, both...

DO IT.
I sold my 997.2 GT3 for a .2 RS. Can't be happier with the change. I've lusted after the RS for some time and the price gap between the GT3 and RS have only widened. My only regret is not having done it sooner.
Personally I prefer the .2 RS...but I'm sure that there are arguments to be made for both. The bottom line is that it's an RS...

You can't go wrong with either a .1 or a .2 RS. But like everyone noted, the RS market is still pretty nuts, so take your time to find the right car.
