Converting GT3 RS engine to 4.0 - anyone tried it?

You can keep everything else in tact and have a basic factory 4.0 or 4.2L that looks bone stock. Sure there will be power left in the table but that will still make 60-80whp over stock and will look OEM and pass under the radar. Air box on that could be done and look factory too.

Airbox and such on a stock 3.6L I'm not sure you will gain much.

Another thing to look into for performance is a 4.0 or 3.89 Ring and pinion.

Mine has been. Bullet proof.
Somebody needs to buy that beast.

Just broke the GT3 w/ 4.0 out of winter storage and drove the car for a couple hours, what a hoot. Then dropped it off to have the RK Autowerks damper installed. Can't wait to get it back and really hoon it!

You're in good company, the 4.2L of RS_Ranger's has an RK damper on that beast as well!
