Thank you all, I will definitely pass.
I am very much looking after great driving experience rather than appreciating asset. Plus I love to work on cars and antique but since access to garage will be tough soon enough, I won't make that trade.

Enjoy vanilla GT3 it is, still hoping to scratch that RS itch.

By the way, I would like to share my hate of "the" mooty and FLT6SPD.
1st one to make sure an already annoying itch is only getting worse.
2nd one for showing how great a white/red RS can actually look with few changes. Seriously, I love your car!

Keep it up guys

I haven't seen the car but assuming it is in perfect condition like mine, would you trade?
I am sceptical on the driving experience of the 964.

Trade for the financial aspect only. Own and drove both 965 in 3.3 and 3.6 more than 10k miles. The 3.6 performs like the stopgap car it is and anything from cutting edge even for the time. Never forget getting in a drag race with a buddy in his 964RS. Was absolutely glued to my bumper in a straight drag as I was holding him up. In the corners left the porky 3.6 for absolute dead. I like the turbo 3.6 at maybe $100 or a little more, hate it when it gets within a mile of the price of a 964RS, a very special car that is as engaging as a GT3....in some ways more.

I am sure the 964 will be somehow rewarding to drive but nowhere close a 3.8 RS which is my target. As for style I always loved the 3.6 Turbo but not to the point to justify the $. I already have trouble justifying the premium commanded by the RS and find myself in a difficult situation.
No way I par with my GT3 unless I have a valid offer for a RS, and those are getting rare. Saw 2 valid candidates dissapear from the mkt already.

The 964 3.3L turbo is a fun experience.
It is a grand tourer car in stock trim. Quiet and comfortable.
The steering feels great and the classic bug eye nose never gets old.
You enjoy them them for what they are. Classic, quirky 911 that has the novelty of the abrupt turbo punch.
It will make you smile.
It is actually still a decent daily driver.

It is an old car however.
It is not is fast by today's standards and It will want love and attention to be perfect given the age.

IMO, It is not something to be compared to a newer turbo or GT3 if to have just one car.
But a great addition if to have 2 cars.

^This...after hammering GT3 on track for day the 964 turbo feels like a S class Mercedes ride wise but still can hang with some of the base newer Porsches. Had mine cruising comfortable at 150 the other day.

TCS...congrats on your GT4 clubsport! I was checking it out at Johns shop yesterday while he let me test drive his own "experimental" GT4 with his new mods.

If you are not going to the track, will mostly drive on country roads for fun, don't care about fuel consumption and financialy it's a wash I would go for the 964T even 3,3.

For everyday driving enjoyment you cant beat the 3,3 turbo. The kick in the butt will make you forget even the GT3 sound track and when it come to driver involvment it's surprisingly good providing Everything is in good condition. With old cars you don't Always need to drive fast to feel like you drive fast which isn't bad these Days in Europe. I actually prefer my 3,3 to my ex 997RS...

And you can Always switch back later on.

If you go to the track then it's GT3 all the way (unless you are so stupid as to modify your 3,3 so much that it can keep up with most GT3s )
