i bought my .1 GT3 back in January this year for 79K with 38,000 miles. Since then, have dropped around 15K on guards diff, rotors, brake pads, tires and so on. Car will not bring 95K, but guess what its worth more than that to me.....it will never be for sale and I plan to keep on keeping on. Love owning, tracking, DD and maintaining this GT3. Isn't life great or what.

I'm not sure I agree that there are fewer and fewer 997 GT3/RS cars at track events. We had several of them at our event at COTA this weekend and a few weekends ago the PCA event at MSR in Cresson had them all over the place.

Everything is slightly down due to winter but they show no signs of cooling off from what I can see. I suspect the exact opposite once we get close to spring again. Best case scenario they remain stable. JMHO

What he's trying to say is speculation on cars isn't worth your time
The difference between an "average" gt3 at 80 and a "good" gt3 at 90 is easily soaked up by a trip to dealer for a service and a set of tires
If 10k moves the needle on your buying decision the care and feeding of this car isn't for you

Fair point, and no I it's not the 10K that makes or breaks... RS is still 50K above what I can afford, and I still haven't found the ideal GT3, question was whether or not waiting will yield something better before summer. But I guess I just have to find the right car and if it's right, then go for it.

does seem like quite a good deal for someone ok with track time and car in Canada. i'd definitely be taking a serious look at this one if i hadn't found mine back in March.

Hey Bart. I think there were about 10 GT3s in my garage alone last weekend at COTA. Since this has turned into true confessions of a GT owner, I paid 100k for mine a year ago today with 35k miles. 7 track weekends & 6k miles later, my only regret is that I did not get a gt3 w roll cage, racing seats, & pinned coolant lines. So there it is, my Xmas wish list for all the world to see. On a side note, my poor C63 has been extremely neglected in 2015. My GT3 is the funniest & most exciting car I have ever had times 3. PS, if you get one, plan on becoming a track rat.
