Default WTB: 997.1GT3 car cover

Well this is happening...

I guess that's a clue that it's time to put baby in a corner for several months.

Thought I'd throw a quick check out there to see of any of you guys have a car cover you don't use / need.

Thanks...

If you have to or decide to go new, I have been very pleased with my recent purchase from Suncoast, and bit pricey but a true Porche perfect fit cover.
Good luck.

Thanks... I wish I had a RS to stick under it! That's the kinda deal I'm looking for, but I think an RS cover may be hanging on the ground.

You're only gonna save a few bucks buy buying used. Go get a new one from Suncoast. The OEM indoor cover is awesome.

We have no complaints about the covers from:

http://www.calcarcover.com/c_carcove...911/GT3/All/1/

Have ordered covers from them for several vehicles and their fit is amazing. My wife's SL55 AMG is next to perfect, including the small 2-3" antenna on the left rear fender. She prefers a multi-layer with fleece lining, its 8 years old. My GT3 has the best fit for the rear wing that I have seen. They have elastic built into the bottom edge that wraps snugly around the body. Wheels are covered to within about 3-4" of the floor. I happen to like their cotton covers and intended to wash it before using it, because the cotton gets softer after a wash, at least it did on my dually that stays outside. Anyway, long story short, have been using it for 5 years on my GT3 and never got around to washing it. I don't use the cover unless the car is clean.

They fit so well that you need to begin the install with looping the cover over the mirrors first, then pull it over one end, front or back, then the other end. If you try covering the mirrors last it takes a heck of a pull on the fabric.

Their descriptions of the various fabrics offered, is right on. Whether they are good for inside or outside, breathability, etc.

Disclaimer: We live in SoCal, so the covers only get used when we go on vacation or leave them sitting for a few days, which isn't that often. However, the dually sits unused for extended periods outside and the blue cover has faded to an off-white over the past 10 years.

^^ Nice to know I can re-purpose it if I need to! LOL

I'm surprised at the number (quantity) of different fabrics they offer. Also surprised at how much similarity there is between the cost of the indoor covers and the outdoor covers. I was thinking / expecting that the outdoor covers would cost more in general.

Too tight for me. Is it cotton? Did you put it in the dryer after washing?
