i have pleasantly been offered a very trade value for a huracan, problem is, people keep telling me to keep it. appreciate advise/input, might be the worst time of year to sell/trade versus waiting til spring/summer...

I'd say: keep it til the Spring, drive it a bunch day in and day out, try a track day or two and see what that tells you...any potential value loss won't even begin to compare to value lost on a Lambo...

I helped a friend buy a 996 turbo, and when Brumos ran the over rev report, it referred to the car as GT2. So I think using the 997 turbo numbers are correct.

Yessir, 996/997 Turbo share engines with GT2...use same ranges.

That's the last of the big iron...

And only 1260 996/997 GT2's produced worlwide, maybe only 30 2009 in US? I would keep it... But then the Italian stuff doesn't talk to me...

But if you do sell, definitely do the trade to avoid sales tax on the Lambo.

That's an awesome ride and surely will appreciate in the future as others have mentioned.

One thing to consider is to see if a RLister would keep it in the community at a price that would make you indifferent between the trade-in value (tax effected) and the cash value.

Don't know how big that effect needs to be given your target and trade values and whether it would put the GT2 asking price out of the market but it's another option.

GLWS!
