Default Opinion on price

New certified Meteor Grey .2GT3. What do you guys think of the price if in good condition. Compared to some of the other certifieds, seems a bit high given the mileage but I'm sure will sell quickly.

Who do you use as third party inspector normally and is that necessary on a certified car?

In a private party sale I see this as a $120K car. Unless prices have moved up in the past few months. Dealer + CPO add to the price, but $20K?

And yes, I would definitely get a PPI on CPO car! House Automotive is probably the closest.

House has done a couple of PPI's for me. They are solid. I agree with Ilko, seems like strong $'s. Ilko, how do you know House?

seems high to me, but that is a dealer listing price so would definitely negotiate.

ask about coolant pipes pinned/welded, new/non-leaky RMS, new water pump, 24k mile service done, life left on rotors and pads, etc.

CPO might cover some of those things, but likely not the ~$4k+ bill to get coolant pipe issue sorted.

Thanks for the great advice. Rusnak is notorious for being expensive.

Yup, they sure are expensive. I picked up my 2008 RS4 from them back in 2008 and swore I'd never buy another car from them for as long as I live. Don't really like them.

There are a few guys that I do like over there though.

$139.9? Seems about right. Maybe even a tad low for the best 7-3.2 color out there. *

* so says the guy who owns the twin to this car. Haha. Hope they get every penny!!!

It's funny how the ad states it only has 20,000 miles on it.

When I was speaking with them about my .1, before I purchased it (PP) and told them it had 20k on it, they were telling me that's incredibly high for a GT3 and I should pass and get one from them.

I think you are fine - if you expect this journey is going to be cheap, stop now and buy and Camry. If you think from reading these forums that all you need to do is put gas in it, and everything else is self healing....not the case.

Don't trust their CPO too much, another Porsche dealer sold me a car with CPO turned out more than half the car was painted... Got PNA involved, they finally bought back the car (this was a while ago).

So please do get it checked just in case.

Rusnak is a great place to test drive cars. Never ever buy there. I test at Rusnak. Buy elsewhere.

Car is priced on the high end - but if has everything that you're looking for you ... Think we will see less and less GT3 997s up for sale as time passes on.

If it is a nice car go for it. Maybe try to offer 135.
