New to Me - GT3
Picked up my new to me GT3 on Saturday. What a machine!! Weather has been terrible, but was able to get in some miles. Looking forward to years of enjoyment. Drove up in the S to pick her up. Night and day difference. I feel extremely blessed to be owning a piece of Porsche history. The raw driving experience is intoxicating. This forum is great, but the more I hang out here the more expensive it gets. I now have two 911's in four months. I feel like I am out of control, but the smile on my face is priceless.
Car was a private sale from Orbit Racing. Rodger was a pleasure to deal with and can't recommend him enough.

Welcome to the GT3 club. They are one of the best 911s of all time. Sharkwerk the exhaust and enjoy the exhaust note all day long with the sport button.
Rodger is first class.
Orbit is like the Mayo Clinic for Porsches. My RS is there now.

The red dash and console absolutely pops on your car. You will just love your seats, very comfortable on long trips, too. Check back soon with your impressions. Are you keeping your S Porsche too?

Thank you all for your comments. It is a dream car for me so still ecstatic every time I go out in the garage. The driving experience is everything I had hoped for. I had high expectations and it has delivered in every way. Like all cars it's not absolutely perfect, but damn close in my eyes. I would have loved to get a .2 or even an RS, but have to be grateful for what I have. I definitely plan to get a bypass, but can't decide what brand yet. It's either a Shark or GMG. I am leaning toward the Shark for the ability to change tips. I do like that the GMG has the pass through connecting the two sides. Don't know how much of a difference it makes sound wise. Is the Fabspeed comment about losing HP hold any water? GMG says it will be the same or 3-5HP max. Would be nice to get extra HP, but want it more for the sound. I just don't want to lose HP. Comments welcome, but don't want a brand war either. Seems like those two choices are the top picks right now.
Unfortunately for me, but fortunate for a new buyer the Carrera S car is for sale. Still trying to talk the wife into letting me keep it, but losing that battle. The car is optioned out and has even more things (Tookie Bluetooth integration / Dension USB / X51 upgrades) than a stock car. Wish i could keep both, but already have another daily driver. I will be extremely sad to see it go. It's a better daily driver than the GT3. It combines sport and practicality all in one package.

I have had my Sharkwerks now for about 5/6 yrs. I got the larger pipes as they really look much better than stock. I had them ceramic coat the Bypass as well as I wanted the black look. Sound wise....all I can say is wow..awesome! Which ever way you go you wont be disappointed. Acongrats on the Car great color and those seats....snazzy!
