2007 GT3 Engine For Sale
Hey guys, I know a clean 2007 in good shape should be in the $100K range but does anyone have any idea what a running 21,000 mile GT3 engine is worth? Unfortunately I don't think the car can be repaired but the engine is fine.

I think a buyer is going to want to know the story and see some pictures. A hard hit that gets transmitted through the drivetrain may be a concern for the buyer.

I've seen cracked cases on gt3 cars as a result of a hard hit.

To be clear all these used gt3 motors come from totaled cars - but yes pull the motor out - run it on engine dyno or offer startup guarantee

I cranked it to move it onto a wrecker and it turned over fine.

From the pictures of the car, I don't see anything that would suggest engine or transmission damage. Make a good candidate for a race motor build, or an enhanced street motor. Always nice to have a "back-up motor."
A little tidbit i learned from my army days. Always have a " back-up", esp when it comes to weapons. But always remember too, once you use your "back-up" you no longer have a "back-up" so have a spare for that one too. So to be reasonably sure you won't run short of what is essential, always have three, aprimary and two in reserve.
Was really relaxing yesterday to go out to a state range in a national forest here in SC, no one there but me, as the deer hunters aren't sighting in their rifles yet. Took my mint MK 5 303 Jungle Carbine, and my reloads and got it perfectly sighted in at 100 yards. Then my '44 KAR 98 German Mauser, 8mm, but it shoots a bit high. I wonder if the poor slave worker who built it made it that way, to make it less deadly in some German soldier's hands. Then really nailed my targets with my scoped 5.56 AR. Just something so peaceful sitting on a shooting bench with spent cases all around. Plus the 50 min drive thru the woods and forests to get there is also just beautiful. Although some woman on her phone ran her stop sign right in front of me, never saw me or her stop sign. But I could see here coming and knew she was oblivious to what was coming up for her, and braked before I got to the intersection. Then a tree had fallen across the road coming back, and two big snakes slithered across in front of me.
All in all, a rewarding day. Off to see my MD later this AM.
Can't wait to get our own GT3 back home, my son is hoping to fly out with me to retrieve it, and run the 1000 miles back home. About 15 years ago, he and I drove from SC out to Heartland Park, Topeka, where he ran an event in our Superformance 427 Cobra replica, we drove back top off, straight thru, never turned the motor off. Epic adventure for him and I, just over 1100 miles in that iconic Cobra.
in the early 90's, when I lived in Topeka, I was the track physician, and was just looking thru my Kodachrome slides the past few days, sorting them, and seeing all the accidents, Daryl Waltrip, Dale Ernhardt, and the vintage and ARCA cars, the top fuel cars, and more. IMSA used to run there too, althought they had their own physicains for their events. The biggest problem for the track drivers was the extreme dehydration and heat injuries. I used to stick IV's in the drivers right in the pits for their fluid resuscitation. I became a life long friend of a former LeMans Porsche driver, when I helped him in the hospital when he was pretty badly injured teaching a driver, who hit a concrete wall hard.

Can you still lift a DME report off this one?
Ask one of the shops like GMG or Sharky what the value's could be based on experience. It would be a great candidate for a displacement increase. But with that many miles you may have to rebuild the bottom end!

Seems like a waste of a car. Doesn't appear to have any structural problems but definitely hard to make out from the pics.
