Default RSS 930 vs RSS 931 vs GMG RSR

Any reason to get RSS 931 or GMG RSR over RSS 930? I have read searched a bit on here. I don't mind paying more for the RSS 931 or GMG RSR but seems like by and large people are happy with the RSS 930 and the consensus seems to be that the design is solid. Will be going into a 996TT. Anything else I should consider?

I recently went through the same dilemma. I chose the GMG RSR since it looks like the factory bar for the GT3RS but bolts to the seatbelt anchors and not the floor to give you more room to run the seat back. The RSS bars were tempting due to the price but in the end I found a great RSR bar on here and had it painted orange to match the car.

depends if you want something that bolts in or are you okay to drill. I choose not to drill and got the GMG RSR. The best bar would be to have someone weld it in for you such as TC Design here in northern california.

With the OEM and it floor mount I have no problem with getting the seat back far enough at 6'3", the seat has a further ~4" of travel when in a comfortable position to drive, the seat will also go all the way back on its runners with out getting close to hitting anything on the roll bar. Note I have the CGT buckets in their furthest back tilted back position on the side boltings.

A rear cage has a couple purposes,
1) proper mounting of competition 5-6 point harness with proper seats.
2) safety in the event of an incident at the track,
The latter is the most important, and unfortunately I have had the mis-fortune of testing a properly installed floor mounted certified cage. It literally saved my neck!
If you are going to put one in, put in a competition one in with proper sized plates and volt it to the floor.
I have the RSS 931 and the fit and finish is perfect. It took me a day to install.
I am 6'2" with Recaro seats and 6 point. Plenty of rearward movement.
Well worth the investment if you track.
