I got down there by about 9 last year, and traffic basically came to a stop on Highway 1 about where the freeway ends just north of Ocean Avenue. It was a real crawl from there down to Carmel Valley Road. I was thinking about coming over Laureles Grade near Laguna, and then west on Carmel Valley Road to the Werks Reunion. Anybody try that last year, and how did it work?
101 to 68 to laureles grade to carmel valley road could be the good choice. I used waze last year and took some side neighborhood streets to bypass a lot of the traffic on the 1 to Carmel valley road.

I'll be leaving San Francisco around 5am. Is anybody is meeting up before hand for coffee or just heading straight to the event from your homes? Even Philz coffee doesn't open until 5:30am : (

just got the car back from pipe pinning and a bunch of other PM stuff.
now i need to do some car cleaning to get it at least half way decent for the drive down and finish it up there.
i'll be leaving Santa Clara around 5am or so. looking forward to seeing a bunch of RLers there.
