I don't remember, it's been probably 10 years since I purchased it. I actually got 2 of those. And this one as well - it's "low profile", perfect for 911s:

I remove the oil filter and the oil filler cap.

if your remove (and leave off) the oil filter when draining the oil ?
I too have experienced a gushing condition when removing the drain plug w/ some spitting and spillage.
Just wondering if air flow from the top down would alleviate the gushing/gulping/spitting of initial oil as it drains.
Thoughts ?
