Rev range 1: 8,400 -1 ... to 9,200 -1

⇒ Maximum permitted engine speed exceeded; engine damage possible.
Rev range 3: 9,400 -1 ... to 9,600 -1
⇒ Maximum permitted engine speed exceeded; engine damage possible.
Rev range 4: 9,600 -1 ... to 10,000 -1
⇒ Maximum permitted engine speed clearly exceeded; engine damage probable.
Rev range 5: 10,000 -1 ... to 11,000 -1
⇒ Maximum permitted engine speed very clearly exceeded; engine damage very probable.

Having our own '07 GT3 for about 9 months now, Chis having it down at the beach now, at Edisto for the the weekend, and reading about damaged and wrecked GT3's on this forum, sometimes I get to wondering how many of the '07 and '08 GT3's are still on the road, and not sitting damaged in some garage or wrecking yard. Or what percent are no longer "streetable" being so modified for the track to make them no longer used on the street.
I read somewhere that something like 80% of GT3 are tracked, as ours was four times early in its life.
When Chris gets back from the beach, we have to modify our extinguisher mount for a slightly larger Halon can, and set up our two video systems, and give the car a good "tech" inspection, as I am leaving in about a week for the 1200 mile run to NE, then up to Lincoln to pick up Chris who is flying in, then a fast run out to western Nebraska for the Sandhills Challenge, an open road event. I am navigating, and watching Utube video's to see what markers I can make out for the sharper, sometimes over-a-hill turn.
all the best....

^ would love to see video of this. Yes, some % of GT cars are gone now. Nobody really knows how many. Many of them aren't totaled, but fixed and repaired for dedicated track duty. Unfortunately there is one at my shop right now. Can't look at it, makes me sad (Driver OK), wasn't a bad incident, but bad enough to tub the car.

while was having my morning coffee and homemade (by the wife, of course) crumb cake, watched a news video of the cars in CA that caught fire on the interstate. The reporter and his video crew walked around a burnt out car transporter, and one of the cars all incinerated was an early XKE, going somewhere. Hope the owner has some kind of insurance for his or her XKE.
Which the late, great Henry Manney of R/T called "the greatest crumpet collector ever made."
Daughter dropped by today, so I will detail her turbo Mini. Gassed it for her, too. It is what father's do.

Yeah the counts top out at what 65000? I've seen a couple like that on turbos that have been tuned.

If there were just a few I would say look at the timing of them and how long ago (hours wise) as there's a big difference in these happening 100 hours ago vs 1 or 2... But this one seems beyond that...

A little track time? do the hours match up to what the mileage is timing wise?
I'm learning alot on here...

Anything can be removed from an ECU, it's something to look at but a tracked car with a clean over rev report is suspect
Some track cars had multi ECU's..to keep warranty on a good one and a tune on the other
That being said I've seen a cup zing to 10k with no damage, just depends how the over rev was done
Since I've been on here this question comes up a lot....if u can buy a car from a seller u know....and don't sweat the dme
My car has a laundry list of warranty items, dealer took care of me...I also have range 1/2/3 over rev....and the engine / trains are flawless at 27,000 miles...20,000 of them track miles
It is on its third transmission thou...and now retired from track
