I'll break the tie. Gloss.

Not to change the topic but I hate this new matte finish everybody is painting their cars with. I know a lot of them are just wraps but I spend a lot of time to make and keep my car shiny. I just don't get the matte finish. It is OK on some wheels but on a white GT3 I would prefer shiny.

Gloss is factory.

Editing post.

I could go either way on this. Not flat though. More satin. i had a set of BBS wheels on my other 911 that were more of a satin finish, that looked good too. But not a flat finish. so think 1/2 way between full gloss and flat.

if it's completely matte it would be a pain to keep clean after track days with rubber and brake dust. So yes a satin or semi-gloss would be better.

Matt for track use, and never wash them. Satin or gloss for Street--don't beat them up on track. If you track once or twice per year--doesn't matter.

another choice- textured coat.

Crackle finish/render/pebble-dash

Just joking.

Both Gloss and Satin can look good. Personal choice

I was personally thinking of painting my wheels gloss black.

My question is whether to paint the entire wheel black or leave the lip silver. I feel when its all black there is no detail and you can't tell where the wheel ends and the tires begin. Definitely racier looking , but kinda looks like a big black blob in pictures. In real life they probably look sweet!
