I recently purchased a .1 GT3RS (green!) and find that it scrapes the front lip much more than the .1 GT3 it replaced. Not just on driveways, but when I hit bumps while driving down normal city streets. Taking a few measurements, the new car is about 1/2" lower that my old car in the front. So I thought I would raise the car 1/2" to see how much this decreases the scraping.
So as to lessen the amount of the adjust/measure/readjust/remeasure effort, does anybody have a good idea how many turns of the spring perches would equate to a 1/2" change in ride height, front and rear?
TIA

Congrats on the green machine!
For a start, I always use a general rule Full turn=1/8 of an inch but I found out it isn't always the case. Sometimes even the rear and front of the same car nets a different height on a full turn adjustment. Hope this helps.

Assuming your car has stock shocks, one turn of the spring perch is 1.5mm(~0.060") in height up to topping out point of the shocks. Eight turns should be ~0.5". Keep in mind that raising the height will change alignment; negative camber will reduce by a few tenths of a degree, front toe will go more in while rear toe will go more out.

Thanks for the suspension input guys. Hopefully I will get to this project tomorrow.
As to the car purchase, I bought it about two months ago in the Bay Area. At that time I paid what I thought was top dollar, and then prices got even crazier. I have no plans to track it, as I do not have time for track events these days. So it is a weekend car for running errands, making the errands a lot more fun.
I was planning on going to Cars and Coffee tomorrow at Bruce Canepa's, if anyone is going.

i wanted to hit up Canepa's tomorrow, but they are doing some fire alarm testing at my place and need to be here to let them in... Seems like we have critical mass on new 997 GT3 owners around here, so some sort of drive or get together is in order.
