I've bounced the rev limiter several times an get 1's and 2's with very very few 3's. I do not think you can get a 4 or 5 from a rev limiter bounce. Not saying the car is problematic but there have likely been some ugly down shifts - even more disappointing that its sounds like some are very recent. Proceed with caution and deeper due diligence. If all checks out, I would certainly use it as leverage for discount from normal going price to give you some cushion.

With a little more info, someone on the board may know the car and be able to put any fears to rest...or confirm any bad history.

At 250.9 hrs of operation, someone generated some range 4 over revs. The car has 251.1 total operating hrs.

The range 5 over revs happened 22.1 operating hrs ago. It it has been flashed, the fuel cut off may have been set to a higher rpm than stock. Hence the massive number of range 1 over revs.

I would not buy this car.

Good point about the flash. Could have a tune that bumped the rev limiter up. A proper tune for a stock GT2 will not bump the limit. There is no need given where the power curve peaks.

Power peaks at 6500rpm as standard and is still climbing, a 7000rpm limit for a tune is pretty normal , it's only 250rpm above stock.....

It's those 9704 RR 4s which bother me, this is above 7400rpm IIRC and there are a lot of them, this motor's been thrashed pretty hard. My built motor has a limit of 7400rpm and I only have a couple of hundred RR 4s....

Walk or buy cheap and give the engine a nice re build with some extra horses

there was a red gt2 one of the local dealers had 2-3 years ago and apparently had difficulty selling secondary to a dismal dme report, wonder if this is the one?
