Shims, Caster Difference
I recently had my car aligned , corner balanced and set up.
I found out that the left control arm has more shims than the right control arm. Hence the uneven caster one each side 8.40 Caster on the Right and 8.07 on the left. This is still within the factory 40' cross difference but the car is pulling slightly to the right..
What is strange is that I have never added any shims so I must assume that when the car was setup in Manthey a few years back they have added extra shims on the left LCA , do you reckon this was done to compensate for the extra load on the left side? As weight = lower ride height = lower caster as I am a fairly heavy driver 230lbs. ?
My question is it Okay to have more shims on one side to fine tune the caster? I am thinking of adding a shim on the right LCA to even out the caster..

You don't have adjustable caster pucks or arms?
