Even if it was double it's probably not really significant to the handling of the car which is rarely above 160 mph even on a race track.

These things actually work. I had a weak bumper once and had to zip-tie it to rest of my bodywork. With the Grand-Am splitter fitted, the downforce was enough to tear the bumper from the zip ties within two sessions. And once the bumper collapses and kills the airflow, my front axle started acting light and weird. Now this is in a cup context, but enough to convince me all these $$$'s and bits actually do something LOL
