Default Fabspeed | valved side muffler bypass for 997/997.2 GT3

Fabspeed Motorsport has recently released a new line of side muffler bypass pipes for all 997/997.2 GT3 and GT3RS cars. The new side muffler bypass pipes are a valved system just like the OEM mufflers. They are best used in conjunction with the OEM center muffler and either factory, sport or race headers. I really like the combination of sport headers with high flow 200 cell German cats with the side muffler bypass pipes. This way you retain the nice change in tone from the operation of the valve sending the exhaust gases through a different path in the center muffler.

I didn't experience any drone with the valves open or closed which makes for a perfect set up for the street. If someone is interested in independantly reveiwing these for Rennlist, please let me know and we can make something happen.

Cheers guys

Hi. Just checking, if you don't have side mufflers fitted, what path options do these direct the gas down when you hit the switch?

It is directed through two different passages in the center muffler. You wont have as drastic a change between sport and non sport as you do with the OEM side mufflers but the difference is still easily noticeable inside and outside the car. It sounds much better with sport mode off, a nice tone and volume over stock but with no drone and as I would say, wife/gf approved.

When you open the valves it essentially bypasses much of the center muffler and sounds like a cup car
