Another thing:
--Unless you're carrying the full rack of tires, lower it, it will help with wind resistance and also when tires are on it basically blocks front of car. My car gets almost no bug hits at all. Front of trailer is another story.
--A picture of my macgyver tire stabilization system LOL. Comprised of a couple pieces of black PVC piping 2 1/2" I think, 2 couplers, and 2 2 1/2 to big, like 6" rubber adapters and some hose clamps. Basically slide wheels on and these go on either end to keep the wheels from rattling around. Adjustable too! Cost about $10 to make, vs the $100 or so trailex wants for those plate things.
--Oh, and the Harbor Freight foam floor pads, the things that look like puzzle pieces, are great for putting between wheels to keep them from getting jacked up on the ride. Just cut the puzzle piece ends off or get OCD like i did and use a string and a nail to draw a circle to cut in shape of a tire. Cut in half they are also good for kneeling on at the track.
They were white now they're a nice tinge of grey/marked up LoL. but figured since this side of trailer is in sun most of day covering them is a decent idea. trailer tires suck bad enough.
You want the 27-29" size to fit the tires. I have 225/75-15 D rated tires on mine, and they fit fine. stock tires are ST205/75R15(C)

I decided to buy an open trailer, a Featherlite 3110. Then it was to open and I was getting bugs all over my car. I had no where to put my tires or my fuel. My winch was getting all wet when it rained. There was not anywhere to mount the spare tire and I needed storage space. This is what I ended up with.
Basically the little lift latches kinda suck at holding the fender if it gets hit by a blow-out. The theory is this will help to keep them on the trailer. That's the theory. :-) You could also put a padlock on them to keep the metal recyclers from stealing your fenders (or at least slow them down about 15 seconds)
In a blow out the fenders are known to leave themselves on the highway, sometimes leaving a nice set of scratches down the side of your car on the way off.
Home depot:
4 gate hasps (latches, i used stainless)
Appropriate qty of bolts and washers (i used stainless)
4 cotter pins
A drill/bit
let me know if you want any further pics of my accessories/mods. this is a really nice trailer.
I'm getting ready to purchase the 3110 as well and wanted to confirm the correct Race Ramp. Is the RR-TR-4 the correct size?
Yes, I have RR-TR-4. With trailer level, stock FL ramps, and these race ramps I can load and unload my car and the cup spoiler (and low ride height) just kisses the ramp. Works great.
Audipwr1 - thanks for the kind words. Yes I did make it, with some help from the guys in the shop. I gave all the dimensions to the people at race ramps and they came up with the RR-TR7 race ramps, which work extremely well with that trailer. I agree with you, you can either wench or drive straight up on the ramps without it dragging.
