You are absolutely right about the throttle response and lower rev pull in the 4.0 is a bit better than the 3.8. But my comment was more about the big picture. Was great to take it out for a spin after 10months in hibernation.

The 4.0 ruined me. The 3.8 would be epic... if I hadn't tried the 4.0.

Can't settle for a 3.8, can't afford a 4.0... Screwed. I'd suggest 3.8 owners avoid that particular apple.

I can settle this discussion. Please someone drop off a 3.8 RS and a 4.0 and after a month of street and track driving I can settle the matter for everyone. The things I have to do!! LOL

They trust us midwesterner's more than you transplanted Floridians. Good to have more opinions though!

The more dramatic difference in speed is between a 997.2 GT3 and a 4.0 RS.

Trust me. I raced against Peter. Down the back straight I'd just watch him pull away with me feeling like a helpless poodle....

It's no racing it's DE although I never DE'd as close as we did in real racing LOL. More respect in racing :-)

Oh please, I pulled away in a 3.8L as well.. ;-)

So when you coming back to the track?
Food to see you back

The new car won't get here till next year, it will pass you with virtually no input from me. But till that time you can pass me in the 964 :-)

Alright take it easy. We narrow bodies held our own against your cheater RS's.

Yea, I'll be back. Car gets here next week. First target is Erik.

I have mixed feelings about you and that RS. You'll be blazingly fast in it. Just promise you don't fall asleep while tracking it. ; )

Just little knaps and I'll take pictures with the IPhone of the SC working hard, struggling to keep the car under you :-) you do have shades of Clarke antics in your driving LOL.

I saw this and decided to ride one of my bmx bikes 15 miles last night. I'll be 40 in a few weeks and need to take better care of myself!

Please forgive the stupid question but what is PTS? I noticed the term in the beginning of the thread.
