Default Rennline Solid Engine Mount

I installed Rennline solid engine mounts this past week and noticed that that the exhaust pipes appear much lower. It makes sense that the mounts might drop the engine, but it looks more pronounced than I expected. The look doesn't bother me, but is this much variation normal???

I really have no engineering knowledge, but I would suspect that Porsche has designed the angle of the engine and hence transaxle to be precisely what is best for the axles and other drivetrain attachment points. A lower engine may stress other drivetrain components. But then, I have no technical experience with such things.

All the best....

Thanks for the feedback. I'll get up under it tomorrow to make sure everything was installed correctly and tightened down. The install seemed fairly simple and straight forward, but it certainly wouldn't be the first thing I've screwed up.

I installed my RSS mounts and it made no difference to engine height/location.

I believe the cup engine sits ~20mm lower, this is achieved with different mounts- may be the Rennline ones are suitable for cups as well?

The few degrees differences will not affect the engine/gear box - the earth isn't level so this would be within normal operation range. Clearance of you exhaust for kerbs etc is probably an issue.

Did they leave out the alloy C bracket? It is approximate 20mm thick.

Ur20V, I meant to say thanks for taking the time to post the pics above. I installed them correctly the first time but think my picture exaggerated more of a gap than there really is. I saw mikymu at the track yesterday, and he confirmed everything looked good.
Now the verdict. . . I couldn't believe how much easier/crisper shifting was. We were running the 5-mile at THill yesterday which requires a lot more shifting. When going from 2nd to 3rd before I would sometimes have to fight it. It was as smooth as I had ever experienced with this car. I wish I would have done this a long time ago. The downside is that there is definitely more vibration, but nothing significant. Everything in the rearview mirror is now fuzzy, and the video quality from my Iphone is not as clear as it was.

Other than those two minor things that I don't care about anyway, I'm pleasantly surprised the difference the mounts made.

As I understand it, these are modeled after the RSR parts, which drop the motor ~.25 inch...

I have then and like them...
