I guess North County Coastal San Diego is "driver 4.0" heaven. There's at least three here with approximately 12K miles on the odo. I tried to buy both of the other two... but when neither owner would sell at below $400, I had to go out of state.

Still no luck on the 4.0 front. Kicking myself for 1-2 I turned down, as prices remarkably seem to continue to rise.

I was looking for a 4.0 also to sit along my 3.8RS. Couldn't find one. Next, tried to find a Cayman GT4. Couldn't find one. Finally gave up and ordered a 2016 Viper ACR. Porsche needs to close the Panamera build line and make more 4.0's and 4's.

No offense, what's the point of buying a 997 4.0 at the current price points other than to bubble wrap it and speculate on future appreciation (I don't get it but then again I'm a mortal working stiff and not a car collector...I'm a driver). Heck, I'll put about a 1,000 miles on my GT4 within 3 weeks and put 4k miles on my GT3 in 5 months.
