NorCal people - looking at buying house in Mill Valley and need a contractor to come with me to look at how he/she could build me my workshop/garage on the site.

Any recommendations?

Buy the adjacent lots a few doors down from me. Put house on one and mega garage on the other. Problem solved

New construction in that town is no thank you

Good luck with that (I mean it). Just finished a remodel in San Rafael and while I hear they are easier, it was still a pain in the ***. Damn dirty hippies

Building anything on the peninsula is a bitch. Make sure you don't damage any trees cut down a native bush otherwise the fines add up.

I've spent time in court due to this good luck!

Really ? My neighbor burned down 5 live oak trees over 500 years old or something crazy like that along with 60 plus of our pine trees --- judge said so what ?
