Default Searching for a 997.2 GT3 Euro Rear Bumper

Anyone know of anywhere to source one or have one by chance?

Looking for a narrow body version without the buffer covers.

Thanks all!

Gregg, if you can't find an OEM one, MISHA makes fiberglass versions of the GT3 bumper without the bumperettes. According to the feedback, Misha fitment is like OEM. Several members on here have them.

Sunset Porsche in Oregon can order this for you

One thing to note is if you switch to this, you may want to change the aluminum crash bar to the euro one as well, because the tow hook location is different between the US and Europe cars

Euro Bumper Cover: 997-505-411-9A
Euro Aluminum Crash Guard: 997-505-121-92

Here is a comparison of the US aluminum bumper brace to the Euro version. the Euro version has cut outs on the back side and moves the tow hook to the side so you don't have to remove the license plate. The US aluminum brace weighs 16 lbs and the Euro version weighs 8 lbs.

As for the plastic bumpers. US rear bumper weigh 14 lbs while the Euro rear bumper weigh 11 lb

So you can shed 11lbs doing the conversion using the euro aluminum bumper brace.

Haha. Im currently doing my build which involves converting to all 997.2 OEM GT3 cup car body parts, as well as several other things. Will be doing a build thread shortly.

I don't see a reason to buy a whole bumper support section. Just remove the bumperettes off the US-version (they're riveted IIRC) and drill a hole in the back of the ROW bumper so that it lines up with the US tow hook.

BTW, if your stock bumper is not damaged you might just want to remove the bumperettes off it, have the holes filled, and then repaint it. Cost me $600 to do this on my 993.

Just depends how U want it. This definitely works but some people want to keep things completely oem. And for some every pound saved counts lol.
The nice thing about the euro crash guard and bumper is you don't have to remove the license plate to access/use the tow hook.

Still looking, would take an OEM non-Euro version as well. Basically any .2 non-RS rear bumper's that are OEM would be perfect.

Let me know if anyone can track one down or I will order new in the coming weeks, thanks!

Mr. redmonkey do yourself a favor and contact MJSpeed. You'll get a great CF Euro bumper ... end of story.
I got an awesome 997.2 CF Euro bumper for my 997.1 made to fit with my .1 tail lights.
