Default Extended Warranty - Experiences???

My CPO on the 40Kmi 2010 GT3 is about to expire. I'm about to be getting the Easy Care through the Porsche dealer.
Any experience on this ? Pricing ? Reccommendations? Other providers???

Thanks !

The warranty my dealer sold me is a United auto care. I have never had to use it, so I can't say whether it is any good..

I had an extended BMW warranty bought through the dealership that was advertised to me as being as close to factory as you can get. It was an actual BMW warranty not another company and have to say that it did not cover a fraction of what the original factory warranty did. Everything is considered a wear item such as coils etc... If you are worried about the motor they may be good but smaller normal type of items not so much. And then I have also heard it is hard to get them to pay for stuff that is supposed to be covered. Sometimes I think it is better to put the money you were going to spend on a warranty aside and spend that when something goes wrong. Of course it won't put a dent in a 20k motor but in most cases I think you will come out ahead. JMHO.

Of course I am unfamiliar with Porsche's warranties and how they are at paying.

I have extended warranty through AAA - its through Mercury Insurance. $100 deductible good for 7 years.

Only covers the major items like engine, sensors, electronics, transmission. Does not cover catalytic converters though.

Used it once so far and my shop said they were really easy to deal with when fixing a water temp sensor.

Just to share that I had a good experience with EasyCare on my M6 before switching to the GT3... paid for itself on the first call (AC)...

I have been trying to get extended warranty services for 997.2 gt3 and it really does looks like they are avoiding it. Already talked to carchex, fidelity but they said they can't cover it. Anyone else got lucky with getting ext warranty from bigger company?

I recently purchase CNA National warranty for mine at my local Porsche dealer. It was more for piece of mind since these cars are so expensive to repair. I covers everything including towing, rental car, etc; just not the wear items (brakes, rotors, belts, etc). It's a 5 year, $250 deductible for $4600.

I was given an option through Porsche for a 3 year, 36,000mi bumper to bumper warranty for ~5800. This is on a 2010 GT3. $250 deductible.

Hey---can you provide any updates of your experiences with CNA? I want to purchase their contract, but wanted to see how well they handle they customers (or not).
