How long is the engine build projected to take?

I'm guessing another 1-2 weeks for the actual assembly and then however long it takes to break it in, tune it, find the right exhaust setup, etc.

why did you opt for a 4.25 vs something else? also why centerlocks?

Are you replacing the Akra system?

I guess that's just the way it works out when you use the 105.4mm pistons and the RSR 4.0 crank. I went with centerlock because I really wanted to run this specific wheel, and they don't make it in a 5 lug.

Most likely, yes. We will probably be running a custom exhaust.

Give me a shout if you decide to sell that Akra. Loved their kit on my old m3.

You got it. I really love that exhaust, don't want to get rid of it.

Damn.. Amazing.
Seeing stuff like this makes it hard for me to decide between going the sharkwerks route or a 4L build...
Can't wait to see the finished product!

Sharkwerks has a 4.1L build, so their 3.9 isn't your only option
Looking forward to seeing the end results of this build.

RK has options for a range of displacements and bores and strokes... Lots of good choice
