Anybody service their RSS suspension components?
Having the local specialist shop look over the GT3 to diagnose a minor suspension squeak and prep for track season. I have JRZs and most of the RSS suspension goodies and am thinking it may be time to replace the ball joint studs. Anyone have experience with this? Thoughts on other consumables to replace with a few years of track mileage?

I have their rear toe links which has roughly 30K miles of wear. I don't get any play or noise, but have noticed that the PTFE liner that sits between the ball and the housing on the rod ends is starting to deteriorate a bit. I think replacing the sphericals or rod ends every couple of years is good practice and cheap insurance. The spherical bearings on my factory front upper strut mount plates are gone too, except they are making noise, and have some play in them. None of these parts are immune.

I replaced both the inner monoballs and the outer joints and pins all round after 2 years in service (approximately 30K miles / 40 trackdays).
Nothing was found to be worn or loose but as I often run on race slicks it seemed like cheap maintenance / insurance to me. Combined with an end of season geo check it's not too much extra work.

Closing in on 50k miles of Nocal rough summer and winter driving, I have the whole enchilada of RSS suspension pieces, not one single problem. They are solid as the day they were installed! RSS

Any of you guys kept the stock parts? Would be interested in getting back the OEM sway bars, links, and rubber bushings. Send me a PM if any of you want to get rid of these parts.

The tapered studs on the lower control arms should be replaced at the start of every season if you track on a regular basis. They have been known to fail. It's cheap insurance.
OP: ball stud and tapered studs = the same thing
