What size 18" wheels will the GT4 fit? And, tire sizes?

Doubt we will be able to get the club sport version in US, unless Porsche changes things up

Per the Andreas P video interview, the GT4 comes with a lightweight version of the dual mass flywheel. Sounds like a very good idea...

I don't think it's porsche that prevents us from getting cs in the us. It's our busybody lawyers and lawmakers.

It doesn't make any sense. I grew up in Sweden with really strict MOT checkups every year on cars older than 5 years. Germany has the TUV that also is very strict. UK the same. In the US you can drive a beat up piece of s** that are not road worthy, but you are not allowed to drive with top of the line safety equipped cars? Confused!

In CA as long as it passes smog check every 2 years they don't give a s%&t. No safety inspections at all. You should see the POS that drive around here, how they pass smog I have no idea, dropping $$$ to get a car to pass isn't cheap any more (used to be) with people going to jail, etc. Who knows.

The rest is US Gov't standards for "safety" and why we can't have the fun stuff here.

The GT4 is already a parts bin special so why wouldn't Porsche complete the build and market it as an RS?

X51 power kit mounted to the 3.8
Lithium battery
Single mass fly wheel
Some carbon fiber pieces
Wider front foot print
PTS

= 50lbs. + Weight Savings, 10-15 seconds quicker Nordschleife time and a 20% MSRP bump. Sound familiar?

I love the car and am seriously considering getting one to leave in the States for winters however @ 6'5" I have reservations about how much leg room the roll bar will take away. In my GT3 CS the seat goes all the way back no problem. I've driven the Cayman GTS and there is no leg room problem but the back of the seat is flush to the back of the cockpit. Once I sit in a ROW GT-4CS this year when I'm back n Germany I'll post if there is a big difference in leg room.
I really do not see a RS to follow..... i beleive this is the one and only.
Besides, with a RS model, who would buy the non RS??

They are saying it has no true dry sump and the weight is a tad too high.

pretty interesting that a completely stripped cayman only gets about 200bs lighter than its street counterpart while a stripped GT3(cup) gets what almost 600lbs lighter than a street gt3?

its also mind boggling that we can take all 4 doors off a jeep and ride around on monster truck tires but cant get a roll cage to come in our cars

paver, thats just to stay within weight limits of the class. there is a lot more weight that can come off
