I'm recalling the 3.6 cars, were less a problem. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Good question, I'm not an expert. Haven't heard of folks with non-RS engines having trouble - but a lot have converted to the single mass and 4.0 clutches, so you never know.

This seemed to affect the 3.8 rs and possibly 4.0 engines. have not heard on 3.6 engines due to single varicam design. Not sure anyone has determined a real cause although harmonics is often cited it could be just a bad bolt design or torque spec

Odd that my dealer would not re-torque, they insisted on installing new ones, which took over a month to source from Germany. Maybe they rev'd the part.

I did not bother with the water pump - unless yours has a problem.

The gas filter OTOH is a pain to replace and I did do that. Check all lines and make sure there is no wear... Also front and rear main seals.

I also did the LWFW and a bunch of other more costly stuff

ouch! what was the damage on that one (you tell me to bugger off if you'd like - I realize it's none of my business)?

Kidneys and a left nut may have been involved.
