Default 997.2 gt3 only needs 3 coolant pipes pinned/welded???

Friend of mine is claiming that unlike the 996 gt3 (8 pipes to pin/weld), and unlike the 997.1 gt3 (6 pipes), the 997.2 only requires work to secure three pipes. This doesn't sound right to me based on everything I've read. Can someone confirm? I have searched and have not been able to confirm as most discussions are general in nature or occur with respect to the earlier gt3's. His engine is out now and I would hate to see the job only get half-way done before the engine is back in. Thanks!

In the process of the same job, would also be curious to see what the consensus is on it. My understanding is it was 6, but then reading through Sharkwerks page, it states you only need two? So not entirely sure either.

There are 6 glued fittings on the GT3 997.2. I would pin all 6 of them.

Never having done this, I was not sure when it says there are 6-8 fittings to be pinned, and then restates at the bottom that only two are needed per engine.

Just looking for someone to clarify the process who has done it in the past

Pardon me. My ignorance is showing. Haven't done it.

I do know there is a difference between:
1. Pinning coolant pipes (6-8, depending on model).
2. Replacing 2 OEM plastic coolant pipes with Shark Werks stainless steel pipes.

Just wanted to re-iterate that the pinning and replacement coolant pipes are two _seperate_ issues for those of you confused... indeed the 996gt3 is different and doesn't even use the two plastic coolant elbows. On the 7gt3 there are 6 spots with glued coolant pipes that you should address
