Can any owner of a 997GT2RS look in their owners manual and post the gear ratios that are listed in the specification section in the back of the book? I'm curious if Porsche re-geared the 7GT2RS compared the the 7GT2. NOT talking GT3, talking GT2..

 

They are identical.

GT2/GT2RS gear ratios: 3.15:1, 1.89:1, 1.40:1, 1.09:1, 0.89:1, 0.73:1, final drive 3.44:1

Thats what I thought but in the official Porsche 997GT2 literature they specifically mention that compared to the 997GT2, the 997GT2RS gear ratios have been "readjusted for use on the racetrack". Thus my question. Hmmm.. See page 14 under Power Transmission.

I agree with you though. In a number of magazine articles I've seen the above rates listed and they are identical for both cars...

 

Same part numbers for gearsets and even the whole transmission, period. G97.88
