Pumpkin for Christmas

Pumpkin for Christmas
I'm a Newbie to the forums here, but guess there's no better way to introduce my Christmas present I picked up last Thursday.
Prior to this I owned a modded 987.1 Cayman S for 6 years, and have spent quite some time on other forums, but only browsed Rennlist on occasion.
I was quite happy with the CS until a combination of torrential rain and semi-slicks didn't agree with me and threw us into the concrete central reservation (divider)....which you can read about here With 330hp and quite a few mods it was a car I was very fond of, but I always knew I needed a GT3 in my life, and as harsh as it seems it was the perfect opportunity to change.
10 months after faceplanting the Cayman and deep in to the search for a GT3 I missed out on a .2 clubsport by a few days, which pushed me to stop phaffing around and get back in a Porsche.
With some pressure applied to a friend of mine I managed to convince him that his GT3 that he'd had only 5 months would be so much better with me. A deal was struck and now I am the proud owner of Pumpkin (This name may change if/when the wife vetoes it!).
The essentials;
MY08
997.1 GT3
18k kms on the clock (11k miles in old money)
Buckets (Non-folding)
PTS RS Orange
Originally purchased in Bahrain, but spent life between there and Dubai with the first owner. 6 months ago it was sold to my mate here in Dubai and imported from Bahrain, and now I have my little mitts on it.
You'll all be pleased to know that although I only got to dirve it for 20 minutes on the evening I picked it up, it was straight on the track the next evening at Yas Marina F1 circuit for us to get properly acquainted .
As with my Cayman over the last 2 years Pumpkin will appear in the fast fleet of evo Magazine Middle East and the journals of Crank & Piston here with monthly updates
Enough of my dribble and more of the only thing that matters....pictures!
Thanks to Chris for the pics and Ryan for the car!
Merry Christmas all!

Thank you chaps
PSE solenoid's already disconnected.....
No plans at all. I have Porsche warranty until at least May 2016 and then can still extend, so think I'll keep my cash for tyres.
In the week I've had the car we've done 1000 kms together and yesterday headed out to the mountains to hit the twisties. It was good to be back at the helm of a sports car and out with friends (458 Speciale, Cayman R, Elise, C7 Corvette Z51). The GT3 is very different to the Cayman and didn't immediately put me at ease, but I had 6 years of thrashing the Cayman so that's to be expected.
I was also fortunate enough to take the wheel of my mates 458 Speciale which is off the scale of epic, but it is a very different beast to the 997 GT3 and easier to drive in so many ways. The purity and rawness of the 997 GT3 just rocks and offers something different than the 458. I'd certainly have one of each as they are different driving experiences and that Ferrari is just so quick both going and stopping it's amazing.
On a deserted highway in the middle of nowhere I was shocked to see the indicated top speed of the GT3 being so much higher than the factory claims. Although my VBox was not plugged in I'm sure it was not far off of what was indicated. This will probably be the one and only time I see that sort of speed again, just like it was in my Cayman.
