Default Pulls left under accel then right on lift

My cars acting a bit odd, but may be attributed to one new rear PSS and aggressive track alignment.

When I goose the car it pulls left and I have to readjust steering then upon lift it almost snaps right and I have to readjust again.

Anyone else have something like this? I just had the car aligned at Rennsport and only have one DE under its belt but had to get a new PSS (stock size) due to a nail. The other PSSs still look good with plenty of life. Fyi -3.25 up front and -3.0 back.

Had the same thing two years ago after an aggressive track alignment and balance. It was diagnosed as sway bar preload. Had my shop fit Tarett adjustable drop links and repeat the alignment and balance. This fixed the problem completely.

I had a similar problem, it turned out to be a bad tire.

If you only swapped one tire so that you now have uneven wear on one axl, that's likely it.

You need to scrub in your new tyre for a few kms first to see if the behaviour corrects itself. I'm assuming the new tyre is on the left?? Combination of LSD and uneven grip on rear axle is your issue. Give it a try, go do some burnouts! :-)

Same problem when I changed only one tire. Tread looked close but car drove terrible. Replaced both tires and car was fine.

Thanks guys,
I'm sure the tire is the issue and I like Liquids idea!

Bringing it to shop (Rothsport) sorry correction on support so they can give it a quick once over. They also suggested tire was probably the culprit and yes it was the left rear.

Tires make a huge difference. I had some worn MPSCups on the 6TT and hated the car. Swapped to some el-cheap Hankook V12s to sell the car and fell back I love! Years ago I only swapped rears on the 6TT and it threw ABS/TC around every corner- swapped all four and car was incredible again.

Based on Rothsport inspection I'll prob just swap the other rear and keep old as spare. Whats another spare when you already have 8 others (NTs and P-Slicks)!

Keep u posted

+1 on tires. My car delivered with a non-N spec rear MPSC and did the same. Changed it...fixed.

Tire could definitely do it. However, if you had equal tread tires, the other thing that will do exactly the same thing is if the rear toe is off side to side. The on throttle/off throttle will change the dynamic toe and the rear of the car will steer one direction, then the other. GT3's are so sensitive that this can be very pronounced, even with as little as .02 difference side to side. My 04 GT3 would do this and that is how I knew it would need the alignment touched up. I would insist on virtually exact toe side to side (which usually ticked off the shop as they thought I wouldn't be able to tell the difference). When it was done right, it was like a dream, on and off the throttle in a straight line.

^ Agree, uneven grip across the rear axle. The new tyre needs to be scrubbed in, that's all. If the OP cannot wait for that to happen, then buy another tyre for the right.

Are you taking the car to Rothsport or Rennsport? You mention both in the thread. Rothsport is just outside of Portland, so it is a nice drive from the Bay Area.

Meant Rothsport- they were the last to track setup my car before trailer inc down from Portland to Sonoma and will put it up on the rack for a quick inspection. I'm sure it's just the new tire but rather have the experts check it quickly.

Yah- I recently moved from SJ to Portland.

Quick update- finally made it to Rothsport for Jeff to check out the car. Everything was in order and we swapped the rear wheels and the pull followed the wheel- so I ordered another new MPSS and should get it installed in a week or so. This has been a $750 nail so far...
