My New RS (997.1)
Arrived today by enclosed carrier from Reno. Only drove it a 1/2 mile from transporter drop point to my house ... can't wait to get home and go for a drive.
Brief background, I sold my turbo about a month ago, and started looking for a replacement, and was focusing on the GT cars. I test drove a 997 GTS Cab about two months ago, and it was nice, but not enough to pull the trigger.
I took a hard look at .2 GT3 up in Canada, but it sold before I was ready to deal. I missed another .2 GT3 by a day (owner traded for 991 GT3).
I first saw this car about 3 weeks ago while perusing the PCA "mart" online late one night - the listing was on about page 15 of the ads, and I emailed the seller with a general "is this car still available?" (thinking it probably already sold since the listing was old). About a day later, I got a reply that it was still available. At that time, I was focused on the .2 GT3, and told the owner of the RS what was going on, and he said, if it doesn't happen let me know. Well it didn't happen, and now I have an RS
I'm the 4th owner, 17K miles, no over-revs, almost perfect condition inside and out.
Thanks to Rennlisters mooty (market info) and Ilko (logistics).
PPI was done by Reno Rennsport - I would recommend.

Heading upstate NY Wednesday (in RS), then to Vt (probably not in RS), back Saturday - so Sunday morning may work, weather depending.
Thanks for all the compliments. I literally drove it from transporter into garage and left it - never have driven any GT3 variant - really looking forward to taking it all in.
