Default Best Tires for GT3RS - street use

Hello,

Did a quick search and didn't find much at a glance.

I am in process of purchasing '10 GT3RS which currently has Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires on it. I understand these are pretty slick for the street, and bad in the rain (not that it rains any more than 360 days a year here in Vancouver...).

What would you recommend for street use? I will probably only do a couple of days of DE per year in a track environment.

I may have them switched out before delivery.

Thanks!

Mark

I have RE-11s...very good quiet tires. I also took them to the track for a weekend when I was out of tires.

Michelin Pilot Supersport, Bridgestone RE11, and Hankook RS3 are excellent choices.

Sport Cup 2's. Lots more tread. Much better in wet. Still has massive dry grip.

Also love Super Sports and RS3's. Hated RE11's and weigh a ton too.

Super Sports.
Deep tread for the rain and almost as sticky as sport cups with 3 times the life.

Tires are magic in my book.
