Default Fall/Winter in Florida and Track Support

There are some great events coming up in the South this fall and winter and wanted to offer some of my past experiences:

Flying Turkey Trot with MVP at Road Atlanta
Daytona PCA, race and DE
Roebling Road
Palm Beach International
Homestead
and the best, Winterfest at Sebring with PBOC

I have gotten to experience some of these events and they are a blast. Great tracks and meeting people from RL is all part of the experience.

I wanted to plug a group of guys I have worked with for years (no affiliation, just trying to help them out.) They are honest and reasonably priced.

Nine One One Motorsports located in Daytona Beach. It is a father and son team that really takes personal care of your car and gear. I have used them for races as well as DE support. They can service the cars, store the cars/trailers and heck, Gary will even fly to come get your rig and drive it back to Florida.

Not to take away from anyone else as there are a lot of good shops in Florida, but just wanted to help these guys out and throw a plug in for them with my past experience.

Best way to reach them is via cell with any questions. Gary 386.405.0914 and Danny 386.795.6589.

Now I am hoping the guys here in Cali will jump on the bandwagon, load up their stuff and lets hit winterfest in full force.

Mooty, these guys are the East Coast version of Chasen and Orlando, now send one of your 25 porsches to the East Coast.

I just signed up with Winterfest DE.
Mooty, get to it. Orlando, Chasen and Joey got it all planned out already. Pull trigger.
Time for some Trakcar southern hostility.

I want to...depends on my available time off, I also may do Chin on the same weekend of the 24 hrs of Daytona, reason why the cars stays in FL.

The Daytona event is not a PCA it is Audi/Rezoom:

I will be at Chin in Dec and I believe Paver and his ZO6 friend are doing both Daytona and Chin. Not sure about Winterfest yet plenty of time to decide.

mooty, I know you could make it all the way to the South East. But what would you do it you did, Drive the car or pull it? I can just imagine a nice old Fifth Wheel Dodge with a Turbo Diesel Cummings flying down Interstate 10 going 70mph. The Fuel Cost alone you could probably buy a nice used GTI!

C'mon, coast to coast is more like 85 Mph on cruise control.
Its 40 hours driving time max

Its less than 3000 miles door to Sebring gate for Mooty and Co.
That's less than 400 gallons or 4 stops, so at max 4 leisurely 10 hours driving days @ $500 a day in Diesel.. I'd do it in 3. Save a hotel and be at the Chateau bar earlier.

have someone drive it for you.

There is always a retired relative somewhere looking to do something adventurous or fun. Driving across country. How cool is that. I ahve paid people 15 to 20 bucks an hour so 800 bucks plus fuel and some expenses to get there. Send them and fly them home.

Leave your rig there and do mvp COTA in feb and then come home.

Trip of a lifetime.

Problem is my wife says I make a "trip of a lifetime" a couple times a year.

Peter, it is about time to open the winterfest 2015 post???
