Default Part number for Mk2 GT3 front grille?

Hello everyone,

I'm a long time lurker, and a fairly new 997 GT3 owner, and I purchased my first GT3 RS (and first Porsche) a few months ago. Although I love the aqua blue / red color scheme of my car, it is a bit flashy, and I wanted to tone it down a little. I would like to keep the original factory painted pieces and order new OEM parts to paint in black. I already have the mirrors and have found the part number for the wing end plates. However, I'm having difficulty finding the front bumper grille trim. Not the grille, but the part that is painted red in the picture below. My local dealer parts guy said that I need to order the entire bumper in order to get this part. I tried ordering this from Suncoast, but they sent me the wrong part and I got the actual grille. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

the Porsche ETK I have does not show that part being listed separately, its part of the bumper part number. Description says front-end covering including grill

I believe you're looking for the centre ventilation grille. The part number is 99750571192. Add a C to the end of the part number if you want it in satin black.

Thank you! I will try ordering that tomorrow.

I don't believe you can separate the plastic insert from the bumper. I tried. Only parts I believe you can order are the grill screens L/C/R. I just did them on my car. Wanted to do the plastic but fairly certain it's part of the bumper part #.

PET lists that as ventilation grille centre. Pretty sure that's not the part he's looking for.

This thread says its not a separate part. Wish it was removable. https://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-...-question.html

I'd save the cash and paint. I don't think it will decrease the value of the car if you paint it.

The metal mesh only comes in the titanium colour and is replaceable, the red plastic it sits in (in your case) is painted and all part of the front bumper bar, thus not replaceable. You'd need to either repaint your bar, or buy another and paint it as you want.

You're right, I read the post incorrectly. The part number I gave was for the mesh, not the red part (which is a part of the bumper). Sorry about that!

Why don't you like those fish lips?

Mask the grilles and plati-dip it flat black. It will match the spoiler lip. Fully reversible in 10 minutes, just peel off the plasti-dip and you're done.

Thanks for the help guys. I guess that I'll have to decide whether to just paint over the red. Getting a new bumper just to paint that part is way too expensive.

Try plasti dip or a vinyl wrap vs paint. Cheap to try 100% reversible
