WTB 997.1 GT3, Clean, Stock, White
Finally ready (after years of stocking the change jar) to make my dream car purchase. I'll also keep this car for decades, so I would like one that's led an easy life.
That said, I'm looking for...
-Very clean 997.1 GT3
-White
-Steel brakes (or NO track miles PCCBs)
-Stock (pedals, rad guards, etc. okay)
-18k or fewer miles
-Light track use okay (w/ proof of maintenance), and no offs please
-Clean DME report
-Service records
-No paint work
-No stories
-Ready to pay appropriate price for this particular car
I know, a lot to ask...but this a once-in-a-lifetime purchase for me, so I'd like to get it right the first time.
Please contact me at mrw1775(at)gmail(dot)com if you have the car I've described. Thanks!

Lift the track restriction. You knew this was coming, but I'd suggest that if "cosmetic injury" is what you want to avoid, there are plenty of lightly tracked GT3s that have done so. On the other hand, a daily drive GT3 that travels imperfect roads in traffic can be a different story.

You sound like me when I started looking. I second lifting the track restriction. The PO of my car probably did about 8 to 10 days in it and it looked like new (clear bra). In the end you really buy the owner like wogamax says- my initial call with mine went for over an hour. I had no doubt he had the right car and he had no doubt I was a serious buyer.

No affiliation and I don't know anything about this one but it looks like it is in good shape with a good history. Might be worth a look.

I've had a 996 and now a 993 but the GT3 is my holy grail of Porsches! Even though I'm not ready to buy yet, this is exactly what I'm looking for.

I found that as well. I think that was the ad from when the current owner bought the car last year. He says that it was originally owned in Cal and those pictures have California plates on it. I think he bought it from Texas Imports and not from the 1st owner. Interesting that the add was for $79K and now he is listing for $81K. It would be interesting to know what he ended up buying the car for. Looks like he may make a little money on it or at least break even?

1. "Oops, I bought when it was peaked."
Or
2. "Great, I bought before it went higher, and before every car had 10 owners and 80k miles."
Either way, I'll be enjoying the car...and like Mooty always says, "don't think too much, drive it, buy if you like it, even if you pay more to enjoy sooner!"

I guess there are no sales tax on used car in your state? Even if I sold my car for $2k more than purchase I'd still be loosing
