Porsche Rennsport Reunion V in Oct of 2015 at Laguna Seca - rumors...
Heard last week during the Monterey Historics from usually reliable sources that PCNA will go ahead with Rennsport Reunion V at Laguna Seca in October of 2015. Second or third weekend of the month. My concern was that PCNA would be too busy with the opening of its two brand-new 'Porsche Experience Centers'* in LA & Atlanta in 2015 to tackle a Rennsport too! But the 'Porsche Experience Centers' are scheduled to be opened in late Spring ...or Summer at the latest if somewhat delayed. So the word is that we might see RENNSPORT V at Laguna Seca next FALL. PCNA was apparently very pleased with the treatment they received at that location, plus the good attendance & publicity that Rennsport IV received at Laguna! So that venue is almost a certainty for the next Reunion. But remember, just rumors at this time...so caveat lector.

Laguna Seca Raceway is allowed several weekends a year without sound restrictions for 'professional' racing events. Rennsport negotiated to get one of those waivers in 2011 and will likely do so in 2015. Rennsport in 2011 took the place of the Global Tuner Grand Prix that took place in 2010 that same weekend in October. This year, for example, I believe the SCCA National Championship Runoffs on Oct 10/12 will enjoy that waiver too. So Rennsport V in 2015, if it's a go, will probably not have noise restrictions!
