Default Good SF Mechanic

Does anybody have a good recommendation for a Porsche mechanic in San Fran? The dealer is way expensive and Shark Werks is pretty far away. The dealer is fine for annual maintenance or warranty work, but the GT3 will need more TLC after track days.

Thanks!

You talking Oil changes, bolt check, and brake fluid flush?

We can knock that out no problem - you got a level garage? I have all the tools. I charge lunch and a beer.

Thanks Matt, you're on! I will take you up on that. Yes, I was thinking pads, suspension set up, anything I brake!

The girodisc thing was too much bling for me

Has anyone here actually used Hitec? They are super close to me but only ever see older air cooled cars there.

I know what mooty needs into his vein directly... The infamous Korean sugar drink. Just buy him 10 boxes of those. By the time he changes wheels for u, he will have finished all the boxes.

HiTec is my go-to shop. Met them when shopping for my car. They've always been very helpful, honest, and fair. Thorston did the PPI inspection on my car - and they've done a few minor services and some routine stuff all without any drama, on time & on budget.

They're also pretty active in the local PCA events, autocross, concours, and group drives. They also have tech days at their shop.

They do have a healthy air cooled client base, but they see plenty of 996's & 997's too.

If they're close to you, you really can't go wrong.
