Cobb AccessPort
I got the opportunity to preview Cobb's AccessPort for the GT3. I haven't done much with it yet, but so far I'm really impressed with all of the options from code reading, data logging, performance monitoring, etc. The interface is super nice and straightforward, and the screen resolution is as good as my iPhone I'll let y'all know more as I get to play with it and drive the car with it a bit more. I also got serial number 0001 which is pretty cool! It should hit the market really soon!
Updates:
6/6
I haven't dyno'd mine yet, but here are results from one of their test cars:
Baseline: 388 hp / 300 lb/ft
OTS Stage 1 ACN91: 411 hp / 314 ft/lb
OTS Stage 1 91 Octane: 412 hp / 318 ft/lb
OTS Stage 1 93 Octane: 415 hp / 317 ft/lb
OTS Stage 1 100 Octane: 418 hp / 317 ft/lb
6/7
I do know that they did not change throttle response, which I'm actually glad for. They have changed somethings, and shifting actually feels smoother to me, especially engaging into first.
I had the chance to get out this morning and change maps from stock to 93, and it's a noticeable difference for sure. Of course, it's not a blow-my-doors-off difference, but it definitely pull harder.
In talking with Cobb, some other things are being worked on. Things that pique my interest are:
1) reset service intervals
2) read over-revs
3) left foot braking

I used Cobb in the past for my Suby's. Great products, but generally tunes on the conservative side since they are one size fits all vs. custom. Not sure how much headroom there is on our cars to extract actual performance though. Curious to read your review. Would also love a dyno comparison.

So far, I do like seeing all of the gauges that are available including all actual temperatures, AFR, and tons more that I haven't been able to get through yet. Also has very detailed DTC information. I'm just hoping, if not now then at some point, to be able to reset my oil service indicator without a Durametric

Wow, those are some nice numbers. This looks promising as I'm planning on having my GT3 Dyno tuned with BBi in the next few weeks with the Cobb software. If anyone is in the SoCal area is interested, let me know as we might be able to get somewhat of a discount for more cars...

That is quite impressive. Also a bit funny to see what little further gains they got from higher levels of octane (relative to the initial gains). It's great to see more products out there for our cars.

I'm not as concerned about any power gains as much as I am for the other features. I'm going to bring it to the track this weekend to play with the gauges... up to 6 monitors at one time.

Just wanted to swing in and give a big to Monochrom3 for allowing us to use his car for development activities and continuing to help us out with V3 Accessport Porsche testing and feature expansion.
The new AP3-POR-003 will be released for sale to the public this coming Monday, June 9th and the special introductory pricing will be $995. Initial release support will include the 997.2 GT3 and GT3RS and includes Stage 1 mapping for 4 fuel options- ACN91, 91, 93, and 100. As has already been noted, there isn't a huge jump in gains between octanes but we definitely saw some pretty decent gains overall for an NA car.
Here is the 93/Baseline map from our dyno database:
We're definitely open to hearing from you guys about features, options, etc so keep the feedback and questions coming!

I'm definitely excited to hear about what more people think of this. I have learned about Cobb products from my friends with Subarus and GTRs and think it's pretty cool that they will have some Porsche tuning products now.
Quick question about the product too. Are there idle controls built in, for cases where you may want to run a slightly higher idle than stock? I expect throttle response might be even more crisp with this tune, as that is what I've heard reported from other GT3 aftermarket tunes as well? Thanks!
