So I was ahead of times with my car...GT3 mk1 looks, Mezger engine & VTG turbos...600 hp & 800 Nm (crank). Nice!

Sorry about the scoops.

Voila....but thats what I said already months ago..and I also said in the 991 GT3 threads that the car will/might have issues in the crank area...got hammered for that..

But in the end, Im not suprised and actually I dont really understand why some of you are so upset.. told you guys that with VW things are different..soon there will be a 911 Hybrid etc..what then? We have already software controlled steering - connected with suspension etc in a 991..so..a turbo for me in a GT3..so what - this company has gone nuts so anything is possible.

I repeat what I said before - dont sell your 996/997 GT3/GT2 now..but everybody is free to choose....

All true: the Mezger is heavier, more expensive, has a higher CG and is less evolved than the more modern variants. Yet it is stuffed in the 991 RSR and in my newfangled 991 Cup, complete with all of the other modern cockpit, suspension and tranny mods.

Why: because it is a mechanical gladiator. It won't die until something stronger than goat's nuts can kill it. And I am doubtful whether that warrior has yet been born in Weissach.

"To finish first you must first finish"

Could the 991 GT3 complete a 24 Hour endurance race like the .2 RS did?

6 speed,4.0L NA,530HP,2900LBS,no RWS and they've decided to go back to 5 lugs. That's what I've heard...

I am thinking the 991 Gt3 RS will be a similar formula to what has been done in the past eg weight reduction ,,firm,r track focus suspension set up ,,,,over the top decals etc ,,,475 HP is more than enough , she just needs to trim of some of the fat ...........
