Default Best helmet for headroom?

I'm really sick of having to do a gansta-style lean back for track days! I'd rather keep my stock seats if possible. I'm curious if any of you tall guys has looked into what helmets are best for headroom? Like a very thin shell on the top of the head? Cheers

Quick, somebody, where is that picture of that Corvette where that 6'7" guy had to get a custom roof for his Z06? Looks like a big Lipoma on a Corvette.

Seriously welcome to the club - and pretty much any certified crash helmet will have about the same thickness topside plus or minus a millimeter here or there. That's just the way it is.

Do you have a Roll Cage by chance, doesn't sound like it if you have to do what you are doing.

Sometimes I hate being 6'5" because then I won't be able to fit into that NSX, or RX7 or that Clown Car Honda S2000. Seriously who in the hell were they designing that car for; Circus Midgets?

Simpson helmets seem to provide more headroom and room at the rear than the Bell which is rather egg shaped.

My Stilo helmet is lower than my Aria

That said I have only ever found one solution

Club Sport seat with the bottom cushion removed, thankfully I have enough padding of my own

I'm 6' 5"

This combo though with a full cage and plenty of head room

So then Bell > Aria > Stilo...

Well there ya go. I've only ever worn Bell during Karting but then I guess they are the cheapest to buy in bulk.

The funny thing is I asked this same question at the indoor Karting place here in town and the expert told me they are all really the same. So I took his word at it. You can probably be certain that the F1 helmets have pretty much any profile they need, but with that same thought it's not like we will hear anybody telling us "BOX BOX BOX" during our weekend fun either
