Mid Ohio video
First time out at the track in the GT3 and first time at Mid Ohio.
997.2 w/ street tires - RE11, RS29 pads up front and RS19's in the rear. Had an alignment issue where the rear was trying to step out on fast left handers so I am doing the mandatory rear toe link upgrade now.
Posted a 1:40.8 as my best lap time with the chicayne. Here is some video footage...Yes, i shuffle steer on tight/slow corners. Video footage starts at the ~3 min mark.
Feed back welcome.

Do you shuffle steer because you shuffle steer...or because of medical necessity?
I ask because it's actually causing you a couple of problems.
1) Your steering inputs are not smooth and fluid while you're shuffle steering.
2) You have WAY too much steering angle in the car multiple times during each lap...something you could not possibly do if you didn't shuffle steer.
Both of the above are causing you to unsettle the car when there is no need. You never shuffle steer in the left handers and as a result those turns are beautifully executed.
Now to the good. Your line is pretty good, your pace is good, your grasp for proper braking locations is good and heel/toe seems to be spot on.. You're a little early on turn-in for T7 most laps and need to be a little slower mid turn in keyhole and carousel in order to get the front pointed to drive off. Your drive off in those situations will reward you in spades on the run down each of the following straights.

I shuffle steer b/c I shuffle steer. In my previous car (E36 M3), i had limited seat and steering adjustment options so i'm not sure if that caused me to start to shuffle as a reason. (assumption)
Thanks for the feed back. I see you're from OH...lucky to have an amazing home track. T7 is madness?
For the keyhole and carousel i was lifting, applying more steering and getting right back on the throttle to help rotate.

1st time driving a GT3 on track
1st time at Mid Ohio
on seat tires
And instructed blue group driver...turning 1:40's
Better yet, analytical approach and more interested in technique than lap time. Safe is fast.
But he needs to edit his video or at least put on some music (BEP, perhaps) while sitting on the grid.

It is very quick for first time there. Just be more patient in the Keyhole and Carousel, you could tell from the mad understeer that you went in too early.
The cool conditions were ripe all weekend for fast times, there were some personal bests set between a few of us locals.
For reference, on R-comps (NT01's) anything in the 1.36-.37's with the chicane is quick, and 1.33-.34's on the pro-course is getting it as well.

The track is becoming more slippery this year due to generous application of sealant which in fact is making it slower by almost 2 sec due to sliding at the keyhole, carousel,turn9 & turn 1. "in that order". your 1:40 for 1st time should make you happy since you have 4-5 sec max to shave....
