I love it when the chin spoiler scrapes!
Although I cringe a bit every single time it happens (2-3 times a day) I actually really love it.
Partly because of the pained looks of horror on people's faces but mostly because it reminds me that the GT3 is a machine that's has made some compromises in daily drive-ability for driving pleasure and performance.
As some are aware the 996 Turbo had longer front springs in North America because PCNA was tired of NA customer complaints about chin spoilers. I guess they just didn't give a damn with the relatively limited GT3 or figured the hard core enthusiasts that buy one will understand.
It's not that I set out to scrape it but the roads in Toronto and the angle of most downtown lot entries just make it impossible to avoid regardless of angle of entry.
So be it! I think it's will be hilarious when it's shaved away at the edges like a worn down snow shovel!

I hate it and got a lift kit.....I couldn't even leave the driveway without practically tearing it off.

I'm such a Dumb*** I got back from track day... Which for me involves a trailer.
Millions of bugs/ rubber/ crap all over the car as most of us here know from a track day.. Regardless, I just haven't driven on the street. I have 6 other cars.. My 81 Fiat X is my daily thrasher..
Figured, heck I will take out of garage and drive it down to the car wash and spray off..
Last time I drove on the street was Oct last year..
You guessed it... Need to replace now. Didn't enjoy it to much...

Occasionally I get angry looks...as if I'm stunt driving or something! Just crawling along at 1mph shaving my chin whiskers is all...

Scraping is a gauge to know if your car has the correct ride height. I tell everyone if your car does not scrape it is not low enough. We have a flexible, inexpensive, easy to replace chin spoiler for a reason. Just put a new one on.
Scraping is cool !

Three Wheelin'
I learn from mine to try to drive the FEDEx way; only right turns into driveways ( easier for that 90 degree angle); learn new ways exiting my own driveway without having it pulled off (have cup lip w/o ducts on now)

This may be a good thread to ask this: I have a very steep driveway so my lip is trashed. I've improved my technique of getting in and out enough where I think I could only marginally scrape.
The question- is the Cup lip flexible enough where it will bend with the incline and ultimately scratch less?
Thanks

Inexpensive? In Australia they are $700! Axle lift is a God send.

The one my TT is painted and scrapes on just about every surface. I have 2 spares that I keep and my body shop repaints the damaged one for $100. I'm actually surprised how durable these things are considering the abuse they're subjected to!
