Default GT3 & Sport Bucket Questions

Were the standard GT3's available with Sport Buckets? If yes what years and was it a no cost option?

I see so few GT3's with Sport Buckets which doesn't make sense to me considering their track focus.

They were available from 2008 on GT2 models and 2009 on other models including GT3s. As I recall it was a no cost option on GT3s but I may be mistaken. I have some in my .1 RS and they are great. Very comfortable while keeping the safety aspect with airbags for when I have passengers. Good for street and occasional track days. I don't regret buying them at all.

If I remember correct, they were ~$3.5k option on the 7.2 GT3 (2010, 11 cars) and standard on 7.2 RS. I don't think they were available from the factory on 7.1 GT3 or RS (at least in the US).

Sport buckets were a $3,125 option in 2009 (on regular 987 and 997 models as well).

Thanks guys. I guess I'm surprised there aren't more GT3's with these seats. They are such a great seat and not only improve the feedback but also keep you planted and reduce weight.

Easy enough to source the right car and buckets and put them together as they were intended.
