Can we put different years of GT3 into ranking?
I am really curious about each year of GT3 would rank among each other.
Can we put different years of GT3 into ranking based on your own experience and opinion?
Thanks

The variations from the 996 to the 991 each have their strong points and they are all great cars in their own right. Which is best? Which one would be at the bottom of the list? That's just too subjective to answer.
On pretty much any internet forum you will find that whichever GT3 version (or whichever ______ ) the responder happens to own will be "the best" in most cases.
My favorite is a 997.1 RS in Orange but that's just an opinion and isn't the GT3 in my garage. At least not at the moment.
Regarding "the best GT3", my opinion would be the RS 4.0.

I don't think there is too much debate that the RS 4.0 takes the title (so far) of best factory built GT3. Regarding the worst, that's not so easy since many like the earlier 996.2 GT3s just fine...this is a club where the term 'worst' might be quite relative and still very, very good!

4.0 being the best...
then the 7.2 RS (almost as good)
Did i mention blue is the best color?

This is like asking what food tastes best. I've always preferred the wing and graphics of the .1 RS but I'm sure I could "get used" to the wing and graphics on a 4.0!

Nizer gets my vote for what he has listed. I'll have to wait on the 991 until it's released in a non pedal car version.

I'm a "take-what-the-factory-gave-you-and-make-it-your-own" kinda guy.
For stock cars, I agree with Nizer, right on the money.
For purchasing a car to mod? 997.1 GT3/RS is ideal. Not as expensive as 997.2 (also not the troubles with cam actuators, center lock, etc...). Put some suspension mods on there to compete with the improved dampeners on the .2 and maybe a bit more power in the back.
Oh and orange is ideal!

Everyone will have an opinion, but here's mine—which is based purely on overall enjoyment factor after thousands of miles in the cars:
1. 997.2 GT3 RS 4.0 (simply sublime)
2. 996.2 GT3 (flawed, but quite charismatic)
3. 997.2 GT3/RS (very, very good...)
4. 997.1 GT3/RS (very good, but for dampers)
The above is for stock U.S. cars only. Start modifying the cars, or counting looks or interior quality or creature comforts or PCM etc, and all bets are off.

P.S. Not willing to rank 991 GT3 until I spend more time in them
