Peter, thanks for asking BGB to post their awesome 981 build on the 991GT3 forum. That with a 6 speed will be awesome.

Here's the link to that thread for those interested :

BTW,I'm thanking you here since I do not post on the 991GT3 forum anymore.

You should post there!

I wonder if BGB could get their hands on some of these throwaway GT3 engines..
The more cheap 2014 Caymans become available the more interesting this gets and I'm sure Porsche will be bumping the HP up for the 991C2S engine with the facelift in a year or 2.

Saw this in action with BMWCCA event, pretty slick. Basically a SoloDL with iPhone based analysis. Downside would be for the super geek data guys you don't get race studio.

one observation: BMW guys open their hoods after a run, they all (the fast one) had Brembo GT brake kits on the cars, they don't have as much suspension adjustability, and some of them were going into limp mode after a 25 min session.

They were fast, but didn't seem as track ready for sure compared to the gt cars.

My $ for a fun track car is a 996 or 997.1 gt3 or rs.
Other option would be a 996 cup.

How about 2,700lbs WITH 22kwh of battery storage (~500lb). If you want a BMW brake upgrade, why not hope their CFRP frame tech makes the rounds instead:

Trakcar, if you haven't tried a 996 GT3 you should try it. No nannies to deal with.
