You definitely can't use the stock pads....just like with any car including the GT3 . But I doubt you will void any maint as long as you are not blatantly tracking the car.

peter, i know you are curious and like to learn, but tracking a post '04 bimmer is just plain wrong.
don't do it.
bgb cayman 3.8s powerkit is much better option if you are not wanting to get another 7 or even 6gt3.
i was at my merc mechanic yesterday and he has a project tarmac spec 190e he is working on.
2.3 cosworth with itb's.
stripped with fullcage and tank + driver weight at 980kgs. loved it!
don't do it.

I have to get me wife a car so this is as close to a track car I may be able to talk he into!
I may be looking at BGB next year, let me first pay the repair bill on the RSA...

reter, just call up tecce and buy a god damn 3.8L. you have 1 week before BW. it shoudlnt take long to build a car from scratch. i watched flying lizard do it in 3 days. start building tomorrow. fly it out to BW. i will test it for you. no i am serious.

If she bitches the car wont drift her to Whole foods I will agree and bitch that the track app isn't on there either.
I'll tell her to leave the suspension in soft and well get rid of it as soon as the lease runs out :-)
